Take your golf game to the next level with the new TomTom Golfer 2 watch.
TomTom is ramping up its golfing tech prowess with the launch of an updated version of its Golfer watch. Sporting practically the same sturdy exterior shell as its predecessor, the TomTom Golfer 2 brings automatic shot detections, a digital scoreboard, and more accurate than before distance measurements to help you navigate the green like a pro.
The new features join TomTom’s existing repertoire of golfing tricks, including preloaded course data from over 34,000 international courses to enable course recognition. Its GPS capabilities make it excellent for navigating, showing you the best way onto the green with unique graphics and hazard detection, which picks up sand bunkers, ponds, and other common geographical obstacles. You can check your distance from those hazards and see a complete view of the green before you even shoot.
As well as keeping track of the score, distance and time of your round in real-time, Golfer 2 also provides a detailed post-round analysis in its smartphone app. Here, you can see what areas of your game you need to brush up on, along with insights into shot patterns and a hole-by-hole breakdown.
Golfer 2’s monochrome display is protected by durable, scratch-resistant, waterproof coating, which should quell any worries about damaging it while you’re focussed on the horizon. Obviously, it connects to your phone via Bluetooth, so it will always work even when you’re roaming the WiFi-sparse pastures of a golf course. TomTom promises a 10-hour battery life when Golfer 2 is in GPS mode, so you can expect to be plugging the watch in once every day or two on that upcoming golfing trip.
The TomTom Golfer 2 will be available to buy in May for £200, or if you can’t wait, you can grab the original TomTom Golfer for £149.99 here.
