Anyone with an analogue Victorinox I.N.O.X. watch will soon be able to use a strap with hidden smart features.
Maker of Swiss Army Knives Victorinox has joined hands with Acer to build smart accessories for its line of ruggedly-handsome I.N.O.X. smartwatches.
First in line is an Acer-built smart strap to fit Victorinox’s existing range of analogue watches which, although ridiculously dashing, are currently sans any smartwatch features.
Quite what advanced functionality the smart straps will bring remains a mystery for now, but if you take a look at other modular wrist-wear, such as Blocks, you’ll find that practically any smartwatch feature can be packed into a strap if you’re brave enough.
The accessory will be unveiled at the MWC (Mobile World Congress) in Barcelona later this month, and we’re eagerly awaiting word on whether more smart accessories will be born of the Acer-‘Nox collab.
