The new EDIFICE watch boasts smart phone link, tough solar power and bold design
What’s better than a classically made watch? A classically made watch with smart connectivity features of course. At least, that’s what Casio thinks with the announcement of the latest EDIFICE men’s timepiece – the snappily titled EQB-500DB-2A.
Designed with a 45mm stainless steel case and band with blue accents on a bold 3D dial, the EQB-500DB-2A is equipped with smart phone link, connecting your smartphone to your watch with just a push of a button. By downloading the Casio Watch+ app, and connecting it to your smartphone, the watch’s Global Time Sync functionality helps it access the time at its current location, correcting it for Daylight Savings, and gives you the world time with a press of a button.
The watch also operates on solar energy, turning exposed light into charge that when full, is claimed to last nearly seven months. It conserves energy, powering down for a certain period of time, if it hasn’t seen light in a while.
If you’re a watch fan, or just looking for a new accessory to your ensemble, the new EDIFICE is available at select jewelry and watch retailers in May this year for around £289.
