Forget the selfie stick, now you have your own paparazzi bot
We’re not whether this is the greatest idea ever, or the most terrifying. It’s a drone-cum-action-camera that’s small enough to fit into a backpack, which can then be taken out, unfolded, thrown into the air and once there, it will hover away snapping photos. What’s impressive is the drone can track a face, so even if you walk around or change height, the drone will keep your head in shot, snapping photos and shooting video.
It’s the size of a book, comes with a 13 megapixel camera and 4k video at 30 frames per second and will cost $600 when on sale (there’s no word on availability yet), so the chances are we will be sticking with the selfie sticks for the time being.
A significant limitation is battery life, lasting only 8 minutes, although extra batteries will be supplied with unit. So celebrities worried about being stalked by these things probably won’t have much to worry about just yet.
