It's like having a microwave in your pocket.
Camping is a lot of fun, but one of the downsides is that there’s never anywhere to plug in your microwave. Thanks to the Wayv Adventurer, that is no longer a problem.
The world’s first solid state portable microwave, the Wayv fits easily into your pack. Measuring just 305x128mm, and weighing 1.2kgs, it replaces the bulky gas cooker of the past, and claims to heat your food in just four minutes.
Each full charge will give you 30 minutes of cooking time, and the interchangeable power packs can be charged in an outlet, or in your car, and are compatible with solar panals. The simple commands and LED display keep your cooking as simple as it is fast. The device gives of zero carbon emissions, and as there is no naked flame, is suitable for use in any areas under a fire ban.
Wayv is shipping in the US in 2017, and although there’s not date yet for a UK release, it’s certainly one to keep an eye on. You can subscribe for updates via their website.
