Wave goodbye to the mad supermarket sweep and long queues at the till (only to get home and realise you’ve forgotten the milk) with Amazon Dash.
This neat little gadget connects to Amazon’s food delivery service, AmazonFresh, and lets you create an entire week’s shopping list in minutes by simply scanning the items already in your kitchen cupboards. Allocate a button to each one, and simply press it to add to your shopping list when supplies run low.
It recognises millions of items available on AmazonFresh and Amazon.com, so even if there’s something you need that isn’t around to scan, say it out loud and Dash will use voice recognition to find it for you.
Dash remembers all of your items until you’re ready to place your order, so you can build your shopping list throughout the week if you like, adding bits and pieces when you notice you’re running low.
Whether you’re pouring the last drop of milk on your cereal or rationing the kids’ lunchbox snacks in the morning, Dash will remember so you don’t have to.
You can easily view and edit your shopping list in AmazonFresh on your PC, phone or tablet before finalising it to make sure you haven’t missed anything, and then schedule a delivery time that’s convenient for you.
Dash is a dinky little stick that can easily be hung in your kitchen ready to grab when you need it, and it’s designed to withstand busy households, so you don’t need to hold back if you’ve got floury hands.
The big bonus is that Dash is completely free, but as we’re still waiting for the launch of AmazonFresh in the UK, it could be a good few months before you can get scanning. In our opinion though, it’s definitely worth keeping an eye out for this handy little kitchen mate.
