Control your smart thermostat, lightbulbs, sensors and more with voice commands.

Amazon Echo only landed in the UK a month ago, but that hasn’t stopped it’s onboard virtual assistant, Alexa, from getting friendly with the entire gang of Hive Home products made by British Gas.

Thanks to complete Hive Home compatibility, anyone with the Amazon Echo Bluetooth speaker or its mini-me, the Echo Dot, can now control their smart Hive devices with voice commands.

Amazon Alexa Amazon Echo

Amazon Echo lets you control music, gadgets and more with simple voice commands.

It applies to the entire suite of Hive Home products, which includes everything from the popular smart thermostat and connected lightbulbs to motion sensors and smart plugs.

You can now give Alexa commands like, “Alexa, tell Hive to put the heating on 22 degrees” and, “Alexa, tell Hive to tall the bedroom light on”. Basically, anything your Hive Home devices can do, Alexa can now make it happen as if by magic.
