Face up to your inner slob with this LG robot vacuum that captures photographic evidence of your slovenly ways as it trundles through your house.

LG has started announcing its line-up for 2016, and its crowning glory so far is a robot vacuum cleaner with augmented reality tech and onboard cameras for close-up scrutiny of your grubby floors.

The Hom-Bot Turbo+ uses what LG is calling a “triple-eye system” to record your room as it guzzles up dust, figuring out where its already cleaned using its clever augmented reality recognition of your house – including its ceilings.

If you’re a real stickler for getting into all of the corners, the one front-facing camera on the Hom-Bot’s feeds straight to an Android app to let you control its path remotely.

There’s also a rather nifty “Home-Joy” feature, which lets you take photos of dirty floors on your phone, and tap the place on the photo that needs cleaning. Hom-Bot will scuttle off to the exact spot to devour the offending dirt.

As well as being a scrupulous super-sucker, Hom-Bot has motion sensors to give you an extra layer of home security. If it detects movement when you’re out of the house, it’ll instantly send a still of the room straight to your phone, wherever you are.

There’s no word on how much LG Hom-Bot Turbo+ will set you back, or even when it’ll hit the shops, but more should be revealed at the annual CES show in January 2016.
